Leigh Dance assists law firms around the world with strategy and business development for international growth, and advises global corporate law departments on structuring and managing to achieve better results for their companies. She has helped numerous law firms with the launch of new offices and integration of merged offices, as well as to improve productivity and performance of international offices. With LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell she co-founded and organizes the international program for Counsel To Counsel: A Forum on Best Practices in Corporate Legal Services. Since 2000 Leigh has moderated more than 60 roundtables of senior corporate counsel in more than 25 cities on all continents. She also developed and produced the Global Counsellors College with PLC and is an organizer of the 2007 Global Compliance Conference.

ELD International, Inc. began in 1993, following Leigh’s senior management experience in financial and legal services in the U.S. and globally. She has assisted in the launch of dozens of new products, services and new businesses in 20 countries and executed hundreds of strategic projects. She has been active in the legal services arena since 1991. She has held offices with several legal and professional services associations, speaks worldwide, and served on the Legal Marketing Association Board of Directors from 1996-1998. Her articles on competitive strategies for international law firms and on key issues for corporate counsel have been published in The Wall Street Journal and dozens of other national and international publications.

Previously a Vice President of The Chase Manhattan Bank, Leigh’s positions included head of Marketing for U.S. Investment Products (she developed and launched the JP Morgan Fund family) and head of Marketing Communications for Global Private Banking. While at chase she worked with inside and outside counsel extensively during product development, regulatory approval and marketing implementation.

Leigh has worked on assignment for one year or more in New York, London, Paris and Rome, and has had fixed-term projects in Brussels, Geneva, Genoa, Hong Kong, Jersey, Luxembourg, Milan, Monte Carlo, Panama, Singapore and Tokyo. She speaks French, Italian and English fluently. She worked in international development and public affairs in Washington, D.C. and New York. She also developed and produced the Global Counsellors College with PLC, organized the 2007 Global Compliance Conferences, and is organizing two conferences in 2008 entitled: “Wake Up to the Future: How Global Corporate Legal Services Must Change.”
Leigh holds an International MBA with high honors from American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) and a BA with honors in International Studies and Communications from University of Delaware. She also completed studies at l’Universite d’Aix-Marseille in Aix-en-Provence, France, and at George Washington University.

She divides her time between Europe and the US, with offices in New York, Rome and London.
