David Syed is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and practices in Orrick’s European Finance Group, where he focuses on complex financings and significant restructurings. He also has extensive experience in international contracts, corporate transactions, and cross-border transactions. Before joining Orrick, David was a partner with Watson, Farley & Williams from 1992 to 2002. He spent four years as an in-house lawyer in international contracts at Renault in Paris, followed by two years as an associate and partner at Baker & McKenzie in Paris. David has an LL.B. from Universite’ de Reims and an LL.M. from University of Exeter.
