Chapter Title: How Corporate Counsel in the UK and Europe are Changing, and the Key Elements of Success

Mary qualified as a solicitor at Lewis Silkin in 1989. In 1990 she joined Alan Edwards, a niche housing and legal aid practice in Notting Hill Gate, where she was made a partner. In 1998 she joined Global Professional Media as the in-house correspondent for Legal Week. From 2001 to 2004 Mary edited Legal Director, a sister title to Legal Week which focused on management issues for in-house counsel. In 2004 Mary joined the Practical Law Company (PLC), a leading provider of legal know-how, transactional analysis and market intelligence for business lawyers. Mary is currently Head of Networks for PLC.
